Bourbon is an excellent alcohol to give your Thanksgiving pies a more complex flavor, with a variety of aromas from vanilla, caramel, or honey and tastes of apple, pear, figs, or even black pepper, almost everyone appreciates a boozy flavored pie.
While searching through the numerous bourbon pumpkin, apple, and pecan pie recipes online we found that most do not recommend a specific bourbon or even suggest using the lowest quality. The alcohol itself burns off during the cooking process, you don't want to be left with a dull bourbon flavor.
Here's our list of some of the most flavorful bourbons to bake with this Thanksgiving.
